This site is dedicated to the teachings given by Sharmaji. With gentle precision he reduces spiritual, psychological, and emotional problems to their essentials. His unusual approach comes from the great masters and the wisdom expounded in Indian scriptures like the Vedas, which date back to more than 7000 B.C. Dayavrat's upbringing followed the strict scriptural guidelines for a brahmin priest with one exception; he attended a Christian school where he learned English. His study of the scriptures began at the tender age of six years when he found many ancient scriptural books hidden in a cavity in the thick stone wall of his ancestral home. He conveys true understanding of this ancient wisdom and shows how it can be integrated with the Western way of life, leading one towards a life of joy and oneness with the universe. He states his purpose is to "make God `real' in our lives."
Many times listening to Sharmaji brings an experience of one's own inner Self and an increase in joy. To bathe in the light of his sayings and wisdom is both refreshing and rejuvenating. Life is never the same after being in the company of his words.
Sharmaji disclaims any spiritual title or designation and is happy to call himself a humble devotee of his teacher—"Not a word is mine; not a breath is mine." He openly says, it is his contact with the perennial source of the Truth that gives him his understanding and great ecstasy in sharing it with others. Contact with him and listening to him has altered my life in very dramatic and positive ways.
What you call love may look like something different under his microscope. What you call surrender may be far from surrender. What you call discrimination may be just the opposite. Sharmaji has the eye of a witness and does not indulge in traditions, fears, social-political compulsions, or flattery to one's ego.
Sharmaji has brought me closer to my own inner light, love, and joy, and so, I want to share his message with others.
